Hello,

I would like to ask you all to send me any jeans, t-shirts, clothes or fabric off cuts that you are not using anymore….
Scraps is: boys clothing and soft toys made out of recycled adults clothes that are no longer used and/or offcuts of fabric.

Most of the time these clothes are no longer needed or wanted and I feel that instead of throwing away a t-shirt that has a hole in it rather pass it on to me and let it be transformed into a new smaller garment for a little boy.

I will be organising official drop off points around Cape Town. I can also pick up from you house if it is inconvenient for you to drop the stuff off.

So the first drop of is Organics Alive in Muizenberg: 42 Palmer Rd.
And second is Tinsel @ The Old Biscuit Mill, 373 Albert Rd, Woodstock.

There is also an option to have a pair of jeans for you little-li made out of an old pair of yours!
Apart from the recycling, Scraps has also been inspired by the fact that boys have very poor choice in clothes in the conventional stores so i have taken up this initiative to change this. Boys like dressing up just as much as girls!
Last but not least, the woman who sews for me, Carol, is a very inspiring lady from Hill view who is part of a NPO called Mothers Unite, we hope to eventually run sewing/design workshops for the older kids and young adults in her area.
